During the first quarter of 2022, the top communication apps in the Czech Republic showed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the metrics for Messenger, WhatsApp Messenger, Telegram, Snapchat, and Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out.

Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking around $659 in mid-January and reaching approximately $502 in mid-March. Weekly downloads ranged from 18K to 29K, with a notable peak of 24K in late March. Active users saw a slight decline, starting from around 2.8M at the beginning of the quarter and ending at approximately 2.7M.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a steady weekly download rate, fluctuating between 17K and 29K. Active users showed a slight decrease from around 3.2M at the start of the quarter to approximately 3.1M by the end.

Telegram saw a significant rise in weekly downloads, spiking from 6K in early January to 21K at the end of February. Active users also increased substantially from around 193K to nearly 297K by the end of March.
